Why take Greek?

As someone who recently took a Greek class, I thought that this letter from Ted Turner's dad to him when he was in college was hilarious. I've included a quote below, and you can click the link to read the whole thing.

I am appalled, even horrified, that you have adopted classics as a major. As a matter of fact, I almost puked on my way home today."

Why Local News Is Terrible

This was a teaser for the local news this past week on my local ABC affiliate:

"At eleven, strange lights hovering over Mount Adams! Are they UFO's?"

UFO's. UFO's. Who writes this stuff? I don't understand how these people still have jobs. Nice "journalistic integrity," folks.
